I made one goal and one goal only for 2025: to read the entire Bible for the first time.

In past years, I avoided adding this to my “vision board” because it felt daunting and if I’m completely honest, unnecessary. After nearly nine years of walking with the Lord, I’ve always preferred to read Scripture slowly and deeply rather than potentially rushing to keep up with a schedule.

But something shifted toward the end of 2024. For the first time, I sensed the Lord calling me to this task, and guess what? To my surprise, the idea felt exciting rather than absolutely overwhelming.

For the past 29 days, as I’ve been making my way through my daily readings in my One Year Bible (which has been fantastic, by the way), I’ve been reminded—again and again—of this unwavering, undeniable truth:
